Does anyone currently own or has driven the latest model Honda CRV, either petrol or diesel ? I would be very grateful for your views on this model please ?

Fraser (s2uk) took delivery of one a few weeks back. Sure he'll be along in a bit.

I have a 55 plate I-CTDI Exec, Black with privy glass. Pimp Pimp.

Fantastic car. Not totally sure about its off-road potential though, We get good mpg a touch over 40 on average, the engine is very quiet for a diesel. really comfy, well built, loads of passenger and load space, all the toys (sat nav, heated leather etc..).

Would throghly recommened one. Get the style pack as an extra helps it look more beefy and 4x4 like if you know what i mean.

Best selling 4x4 since the diesel came out and good residulas.

Test drive one.

I've driven them too, and was very impressed with the drive / comfort / space etc.

My neighbours had one for a year and just sold it as he was not impressed with the mpg. It was a 2004 petrol auto with 20k on the clock - he got 12.5k for it private, the best cash offer from a dealer was

I ran one for two years (petrol 02 plate).

Very nice to drive and loads of space and pockets everywhere to put stuff. The slightly raised and reclining back seats were nice too (I mean for the back seaters to relax in on a long journey, of course).

I found it a bit thirsty. Not surprising as it's quite boxy. I only sold it as it wouldn't tow a laden horsebox.

I wouldn't rush into buying one before trying the competition.

I had one as a courtesy car and hated it - my dad's RAV4 is smaller, but for a 4x4 drives much better.

Euan, could you please give me more details on your dads Rav 4 ? I must say that i like the look of those more than the CRV. Geoff.
