Default Honda fuel additive

Just booked a service for tomorrow, and Honda told me they recommend using a fuel additive that cleans the engine and ensures clean running blah blah etc.

I said yes, but should I tell them no tomorrow?

Honda told you, or the dealer told you? The two aren't necessarily related....

Sounds like a way of getting a bit more cash out of you to be honest.

Just add a bottle of 99p Redex to next fill up, will amount to the same.

Sounds like the Fortis rubbish. Marshall honda added this to my service bill once without asking me. I promptly phoned back and demanded that the

I would do it but do it yourself for half the price. Modern fuels still varnish the fuel system and can knock a few % of the injectors flow rate. Once every 6 months should do it or once a year if your feeling tight.

Well at 8.30 this morning I forgot all about it, so now have the additive. I can report that it hasn't doubled the engine power

Your money would be better spent getting your injectors ultrasonically cleaned for around
