Honda's Traction Control - VSA
[QUOTE=euan,Jun 2 2006, 12:17 PM] What exactly was the back end doing under heavy braking, and how was the VSA sorting it?
Sounds good though - on your write-up, I would certainly order it as an option for only

Moff - I have to agree VSA is far better than BMW DSC system
Euan - it cut the throttle to put weight back to the back and prevent it skipping around. It also cut the ABS in on one side to prevent it oversteering as the back went light.
LL -
on all points especially the car/bush interface
You just don't see it come in until you know you made a mistake

What a surprize , it works and works well. If only I could find all the damming posts again on how VSA would be a disaster for the S
Nice write up mikey , VSA should be on everyones list for a new S it shows once again it shows that Honda do know what they are doing and are enhancing the car unlike nearly every other system what interfieres with the drive.
Id feel gutted if Id not bothered to wait for this option on a new 06
the BMW DSC fitted to my car doesn't interfere with the drive at all
it will flash if you lift a wheel momentarily
but I tend to drive as if there is no backup
it's generally served me well
and I can't remember a time that I've seen the system intervene
if the VSA is like that, it would seem hard to criticise
