Default Hood didn't fully retract today

Sun out this morning, dropped the top, but found that it didn't fully recline ( eg - Looking in the rear view mirror - it was full of black roof

Pressing the roof down button again - nothing happened.

OK - Put roof back up, and then back down.... and normality resumed.

Anyone else had this? Just one of those things?
( Didn't see anything in the FAQ's )

BTW - Car is only 4 months old.

Was the hood wet, it really makes a difference. I had an MR2 roadster and putting the manual hood down when it was wet much harder than normal.

Cold makes a difference too. Few miles, warm it up, then drop the top and should be ok

See, i've never had this problem with an electric hood when wet.

Hopefully it's just a glitch.

Personally i'd see if it happens again and then punt it to Honda for an inspection.

I would never drop the top down when it's wet. Best thing to do is drive couple of miles for the hood to dry from the air and after drop it.

The same thing applys when its freezing cold. You can damage it like that.

Yep - Hood was wet.

I'll watch out for that.

Thanks Chaps & Chapettes!

They recommend in the handbook not to retract it when it's wet. But if I've just washed it and it's a sunny day nobody will stop me from going for a spin with the roof down.

It's the cold more than the wet. My car is garaged (so never wet) and I have a similar problem. U and down a couple of times sorts it. Nothing to worry about.

Had this in the past - just put it back up and try again.
