I'VE JUST NOTICED TODAY THAT IV'E GOT A RIP IN MY HOOD, YOU KNOW THE USUALL PLACE ON THE SIDE NEAR THE DOOR. CAN YOU GET THESE REPAIRED OR IS IT A NEW JOBBY? DOES ANYONE KNOW A ROUGH PRICE?

If you use the search function at the bottom right of the forum page, you'll find a couple of threads about the very same thing.

IIRC some people have recently had their hood replaced by an independent company for a very good price.

I'm in Nottingham too, I have a spare soft top but unfortunately the plastic has cracked (but can be replaced). Soft top is is good condition, no rips.

For me, I replaced the whole roof+frame with the later version glass rear screen.

This is probably a horiziontal rip from the join just at the back of the door?
Doubt you will repair it, though it is common.
I'd go with Man's idea, but you do not need to replace the frame. You can put a glass roof cover on the plastc roof frame with minor mods.
