Default How do you keep your mats stuck down?

I got the mats from a seller on here last year, I forget their name now. But basically the mats just have a hole for the metal stud that pops out the floor. When I get in and out the car the mats get dragged off this stud and I end up having to adjust them every time. Pretty annoying.

Did anyone come up with a good solution? all I can think of is velcro but not sure how I would attach the strip to the floor and mat? I know they are sticky but I doubt the glue will work trying to stick to fabric?

Velcro, the rough bit stuck to the back of the mats, a couple of stiches through the mat would help.

My velcro didn't stick to my carpet, and the other side of the velcro (on the back of the mat) doesn't stick to the carpet alone. FML

Similar here with Velcro, no success even with industrial velcro :-)

Trying to find brackets from US, but thats proving difficult as well.... might have to look at alternative as mentioned above.

How do the press studs work?

What I dont get is surely something must be attached to the main floor for you to press into?

how do you do this? As gluing/sticking velcro onto the floor fabric I cant see working well?

I thought the metal studs for going through the carpet hoops were just standard in S2ks? Don't tell me these were an option?

I've got them on mine, so never have trouble with the carpet moving around.

I may be wrong, but I do not believe those metal studs were factory fitted.

As I do not have any and the carpet has to be cut to fit them.

I believe the metal studs/mat holders come with the 2 or 4 piece mats. So the chances are if you never bought those mats, you never got the metal studs/mat holders.
