How much is this going to cost the driver?
"Isobel Brydie, spokeswoman for the Scottish Campaign against Irresponsible Drivers (SCID), branded the driver as "completely mad".
She said: "Driving a car at that speed carries the same danger as discharging a shotgun in a crowded street."
I think not but then she would probably wet herself if she drove (assuming she can drive) at more than 300mph.
I think I'd rather take my chances with the driver than with a nut with a shotgun.
I admit I would have been happier had he/she not been on a mobile phone at the time!

On a serious note its the same old tat given out every time ,remember we motorists are public enemy No 1
Also feel that the comement is deflamatoury to all gun owners
Here's an interesting statistic, courtesy of this month's TG magazine. There are 10,000 convicted burglars currently staying at one of HM's luxury hotels. There are also 15,000 people convicted of motoring related offences.
As the Yanks like to say, do the math.

In her defence, I'd probably wet myself too at 300mph! But we know what you meant.
While the article may be a little subjective, I personally don't want to share the road with anyone who is travelling at that speed AND using a phone. Throw the book at him. His actions only provide fuel and ammunition to the Speed Kills style organisations.
Despite the car's pedigree, this is blighty - other road users, and indeed road conditions are not the same as those encountered in Germany.
Personally, I'd be happy with a 100mph speed limit for good roads during the best conditions - anything more, and the driver should face punishment or driver education.
