Default How to replace an S2000

How many of you have had this dilemma, you can't find the car to replace the S2000 but you know you it's time to try something different - how about this combo:

Came very close to buying NSX 3.2 but ended up with this, a sensible C2, it's okay but I'm not sure I 'get it' yet..

And when 9000RPM is not enough, Westfield Megablade which revs to a wild 12000RPM!

Speaks volumes for the S2000 when I need two motors to replace it -- having said that I'm sure I'll be back again....

You're absolutely right, they do go like stink - thing is they actually feel like they're going twice as fast due to the noise, closeness to road and no windscreen etc

30mph feels like nearly 100mph, I haven't dared do 100mph yet!

I think you're right, it's goign to take two cars to replace the S when I finally do. Although the cost of keeping the S on track is making me thing it'll be sooner rather than later. Need something that doesn't munch pads quite as much. However I love the S's behaviour on track.

Tried out a Boxster, 350Z, Z4 and 996 to replace my S2000.

Bits fell of the Z4 hood!

Couldn't find space for a bar of choc in the Nissan.

Couldn't work out what the hype is about the 996, except someone tried to have sex with it on the test drive never happened in the S.

Final decision, wait for the 2006 model. Yep, I want to hear the radio and switch on traction when the weather is shist.

Looks like a good choice to me . I totally understand where you're coming from

Take care, and be prepared for frequent engine and clutch changes.
