Default How To Replace The S2000's Pollen Filter

First, get a filter and a 7mm 1/4 drive socket:


Then, start pushing out the weather seal clips:


Take the seal off along its whole length:


Lift the corner of the plenum chamber top cover:


Push the clip that holds the filter in place, lift, and slide back towards you:


Take the old filter out of its holder:


Fit the new filter in the holder making sure the black dots are together:


After fitting the filter back push the weather seal clips back in place:

How do you know if your pollen filter needs changing?

Come to think of it - a pollen filter only works when the hood is up

Great instructions.
Although I drive with the roof down most of the time in summer so it probbaly wouldn't do me any good.

I drive with the roof down a lot also but changing this filter has made the effort from the heater fan much more noticeable (great help for top down A/C in 40 degree heat or top down heater in 2 degree cold - although I agree not much use yet for a couple of months!).

That first picture has really got to me. Why does it take such a big box for Honda to pack such a small socket spanner?
