Default Hub nut again... :(

It's clicking again - was allegedly fixed a month or so ago.

I was due to be going on the track at JapFest II.... Is this a bad idea with this clicking? Is the wheel gonna fly off lol

Sorry for asking this question because its probably been covered before but i sometimes get a single click from the rear of the car when reversing, is this symptomatic of wear in the hub nuts or do they all do that sir??

I turned on the CD player.

it's not desirable but i don't think it's dangerous. took honda weeks to sort mine, they replaced all sorts (back in 02 or 03 it was).. the tools never actually fixed it long term.

i've got some new nuts (ahem) to put on when i'm ready thanks to jaeger

just gotta lube my nuts

i did a couple of trackdays with the clicking in my old car, and when i did eventually do them, there was no apparant damage. The clicking was pretty minor on my car though. if it was a loud click or a clonk, i'd be more worried.

Did you torque the volume control up to 220lb, or was it Manilow again?

Mine clicks when suddenly accelerating from cruising speed (can hear it with roof down). Also if u drop if down a gear and lift the clutch to engine brake.

It's only 20 min session, think i will risk it.

I only ever used to get a single click when the direction of drive was changing or going from engine braking to acclerating ie where the wheel was driving the driveshaft and the drievshaft suddenly starts to drive the wheel and vice versa.

Sure your problem is the hub nuts?

It doesn't do it under normal driving. You have to be being a bit abusive for it to occur LOL
