Default I have a problem

The first stage to solving a problem is to admitting that you have one(apparently). I've had my S for just over a week now and I've been driving it during pretty much all of my spare time since then, this is having a detrimental effect on getting anything else done, and also fuel isn't cheap!

In fact today I went out in the car to do some shopping...as I was just about to reach the supermarket my logic reasoned whether it would be better to spend the 30 minutes or so it would take, instead driving the car as I would "survive" without doing shopping - therefore I went on a drive in the country. Later on that drive I was getting hungry, but again elected not to eat as it would take up time which I'd rather do driving. I've also weighed up the pros and cons of doing the washing up or going for a drive - I no longer have a clean plate in the house...

Has anyone else had problems like these? Or am I a special case? - hopefully the novelty will wear off soon...

..................No it will not wear off!!!

50 - 100 miles to fetch a paper or pint of milk is not uncommon!!

There is no cure!!! After 7 months of ownership I'm as addicted as I was after the first week.

Chris,

Same here! Picked it up on Sat. Done 400+ miles in 2 days. Am now at bloody work thinking, 'this job business is getting in the way of real life!!'.

I can't VTEC yet due to running in but i'm having so much fun anyway. Can't imagine how wide my grin will be when i can. I'm splitting my face as it is!!

sorry Chris,

same with me. Four months into ownership and I'm still excited every time I drive it, in fact I work for an agency and asked them to find me a job as far away from home as they could just so i could drive the car there !!!!! They offered me a job in North Wales so i drive from Liverpool to North Wales 3-4 times a week

I went to put the S in the garage the other night at about midnight, I got in, dropped the roof and went on a 35 mile run around the local countryside, it started raining at one point but I was having too much fun to care.

I played footy last night and was a bit hot, so it was roof down and have a quick blast to help me cool down.

1hr later I get home. Happy and cool!
