Although my tax is not due for renewal until Aug 09 I will in Feb 09 sent it back for refund and then tax the car for a further 12 months hoping that then I will be taxing the car yearly before increases come into effect.

What other option is there?

It's not really worth selling a new or nearly new car for 20 quid a month is it.
Pay the tax they win.
Sell the car they win.

Be British and do nothing but moan to your mates, they win.

I don't know what all the moaning is about, everyone here can afford a sports car, let alone a car.

Have you ever tried getting on a train in Poland - where cars themselves are barely affordable?

pre 2001 is plg. But some lucky people managed to get cars post 2001 on plg. I have heard that tvr's are due to their low volume sales.
