I guess he didn't notice that you're in the UK.

You'd be better off asking this question over in the UK forum:

Cheack the V5 for a start, Jap and SOME euro import will state 'Import' on them.

BUT some Euro import do not show on the V5 as imported, these car have been first registered in the UK but built by honda for a European main land county (Belgium,Holland etc). As far as the DVLA are concerned these cars ARE UK cars but Honda will see them as an import.
Even if you do a HPi check or the like (AA etc) these car will not show as imported.
The ONLY way to tell if these cars are imports is to call Honda customer services and give them the VIN...

Euro Import makes little difference to the warrenty (less miles) and the resale might be lower.

The European cars dont have locking nuts and wont have a Honda alarm (which is good thing ), they may also have a fire extinguisher (UK car dont have this as standard).
BUT dont use the fact the car has or does not have these parts as solid proof of the car import status, part may have been retro fitted or removed...

as said if in doubt phone Honda with the VIN.

It is the only way you could tell my car had been imported

From 04 onwards the alarms have been factory fitted so UK spec Euro imports have exactly the same alarm as UK cars.

Only JDM cars, not parallel EU imports.

One easy way. Swithch on and start engine. Depress throttle in short bursts.

It will go Bllm Bllm instead of Brrm Brrm!
