Default Increase Engine Performance?

Hi all

Just wondering if there is any kind of substance that I can get from halfords which might help the engine perform a little better or just generally clean it.

Are there any good products which you have used?

BP Ultimate probably has the best cleaning agents in it - I wouldn't bother with most of the products out there.

Power boost products only work if the engine is mapped for them.

I was just talking about cleaning, BP Ultimate is better than V Power in this respect, but V Power has better RON rating.

Fuel performance additives are a waste of time unless like me, you keep some in the car in case you cant find 99 fuel (mine is specifically mapped on 99)

BP Ulimate, V Power or Tesco 99 all have far more in the way of cleaning agents than other fuels .... and my understanding is that it is in that order - with BP Ultimate having the most followed by the other two.

SUL fuel would be the best performance increasing method imo.
additive may work ok, but a tad expensive for little/no gain if your using decent fuel in the first place.

is there a specific reason you ask, or just a general question, kaleemaa?

Nothing specific was just wondering. I've always put in vpower. Just wondering if there was a product which would contribute towards a bit more power thats all, well not power but a very good cleaner which could result in power being restored.

Which one do you use Mark and how much do you use?

I really need to have an emergency container in the boot.
