Default Induction kits

Hey Folks, been a member on here for a while but never really posted much. Anyway am sure this topic has been covered but am looking into an induction kit for the AP1 S2000 and I was wondering which would be the best one to buy? Am looking at the K&N Typhoon, K&N 57I Gen II, and the AEM cold air intake induction kit? I see there all roughly the same price but which one would you guys advise?

Cheers

Kieran

Hi Kieran, yep it's been covered hundreds of times

Have a use of the search, then come back with some questions, and you will get more answers

None of them will give you much power, maybe 1-2.

AEM is the best on that front but harder to fit than the others.

I did try the search but it crashed because am offshore and the internet is pants! But I will have a look later on.

Not to fussed on power to be honest just looking for something that sounds really good!! I had a Tanabe exhaust on the car a few month back but removed it because the drone was horrendous!! So looking for that induction roar now

Thanks for the quick reply

Just remove the airbox lid and save yourself £300.00

I've had the lid removed from time to time and I can't say I've noticed much difference with it on it off with regard to heatsoak. I guess it might be down a couple of bhp if dyno'd though. Still sounds good with it off.

Throttle response isn't good with the lid off, and if you are stationary for any time you lose a lot of performance until it gets some cooler air again.

AEM gets my vote unless you wan something that look pretty too. If you do then the TEGIWA intake might be worth taking a look at.

I had an AEM on mine, sound fantastic with small gains rather than losses in power and torque.
