Default Insurance

I'm currently with aplan who are charging me £850, but that's only because I had a month left on my policy with my Evo 6. When it's due it's renewal they've given me a quote of £1200 which to me was quite expensive, that's until I call many insurence companies quoting me around the £2000 mark all the way to £6500 lol! I've tried many of the insurence companies that have been mentioned on the forum but not one could beat aplan!
Does anyone know of any specialists? I'm 29, got 5years ncb, never had any crashes or accidents ever! I've seen some guys getting qoutes of less then £700 and these guys have had crashes, low ncb and are younger then me by miles? Don't get it??

Might be to do with where you live? I live in a relatively low risk area for theft/vandalism etc and I pay under £500. I'm 31. Not sure what else it could be.

Is your car garaged at night?
I think that this can make a fair difference to your premium.

Here you go: http://www.s2kuk.com/s2kuk/Benefits/...ers.php?cat=12

Insurance premiums are rising fast at present as they've been too low for the last couple of years and insurers have lost a lot of money.

Good luck

Amazed by that, I'm 32, live near London too in a decent village, car is garaged, 7yrs NCB and my Admiral quote was 1100...

Guess my car is 4yrs newer, but that would be the biggest difference

I am also with sky and they were extremely cheap but supposedly insured with QBE how I have found to be useless at speaking to in the past. If you go with them, ask for another insurer.

I am with Admiral, £1400 for a 23yo driver with 2 previous claims and 4 yrs NCB.

Not bad if you ask me. Chris Knott wouldn't touch me due to my age, Flux lowest price was £3000! I didn't try Sky, sounds like I should have done!

Admiral were saying that the car is now Group 35 because of the amount of them that ended up in ditches last year...
