ARBs and Braces should be declared I would think.

Call them and ask. They are a broker, not an insurer and will be able to advise you if the changes need to be declared to your insurer (probably Highway).

You shouldn't have to declare the poly bushes as in my book these are a necessary repair and not a modification as such.

Al the other stuff I would definitely declare, when I added some mods after taking my policy with Chris Knott they did not charge me for the additions.

a/ Yes - you have modded the car, and it will be obvious should an accident inspector be called out.
b/ For me it was not much more. ( Cusco Front & Rear ARB's & Strut brace )

Dumb question - Why didn't you get the quote before getting the work done?
What happens if they do add another

Interesting post gaspode....

I didnt call and get a quote before as I didnt really think to be fair, if they put on another 800 I'll pay it. I paid 2k last year to insure the car and was over the moon with an 800 quote, so I'd be 'ok' about it... granted I hope that wont happen !!

As for modding the car and telling them I wanted clarification on what is a mod.... would you call them to say you were using a brakes international OEM pad instead of a Honda pad? I just wanted a bit of clarification....

If the brakes international pad had advertised or known different characteristics to an OEM pad, eg stopping distance is reduced 10% etc
Then I would declare it.

Some brake pads are designed for some track use and take a while to warm up properly.

You have changed the way your car handles by adding on bracing.
Your insurer may want to know why you need it, is it to go round corners faster? etc etc

Declare everything mate - no matter how small.

I even declared my Carbon fibre plug cover.

Don't give them a way of not paying out when you need it.

I never paid extra for braces on two cars and two insurers.
Paid a few percent for "Lowered and uprated suspension <50mm" though, and that could encompass most things.
