Default Interior colour

Picked up a new MCB GT about a month ago. Fantastic car, but have a slght worry with the interior colour. The doors seem to be a darker colour than the dash etc - in fact it is quite noticably darker - is this usual?

If there are made from different compounds (e.g leather or vinyl) then the answer is yes. Why not hook up with an MCB owner locally?

Okay, not the same interior as a MCB, but where the dash meets the door, there is definitely two shades of dark grey - obviously not that unusual

Usual or not this is unacceptable if the brochure suggests that there is not a complimenting colour scheme - get onto your dealer.

UV effects different materials at differing rates so the problem is only likely to get worse. Automotive Interior Engineers go to great pains in the UK to match colour and grain, Japanese Engineers are reportedly supposed to be even more committed to total quality.

Cheers Chris,

Took it to local dealer, and they agreed that it was noticeable. Going in next week to confirm, but hopefully should be sorted under warranty.

I should imagine it would be door panels. The dash colour matches everything else. Will find out for definite next week.
