Man this weather is torture, I want my car back!!
Here's a shot of the damage after the passenger side of the bumper was cut off(was hanging off anyway). As you can see, drivers wing could probably have been repaired if wanted.

Repair work well underway though. All will be fine when done, no structural etc damage thankfully. With the bonnet, wings & bumper being sprayed anyway,& the doors having to be blown in to match, I decided to go nuts and re-spray the whole thing (exterior) - not that I've cash to throw around but if there was ever a time to do this now is it. Probably have it back mid next week.
Doesn't look like there will be hasle with the insurance either (fingers X'd). Assessor had no quibles with the garage's estimate & decision on what needed to be done, and the garage is an approved repairer which speeds the whole thing up - no need for multiple quotes etc. In fact, had it been under €5000 they wouldn't even have had to wait for the assessor as they are pre-approved.
The lack of the car this weekend is probably a good thing though, I've an exam for work to study for so it'd only be a temptation to ditch the study & go driving!

Not particularly.
I like the colour - never seen another one in this colour in Ireland. And, I'd only respray if I was doing a FULL respray - i.e. not just exterior - I'm not doing a full strip down/out to do engine bay, inside doors etc etc.
Rear Lights are coming out, boot & 3/4 seal/strip coming off, bumper off, but thats as far as I'm going.
And if I were to consider a different colour I'd also go looking at different bumpers, or at least a lip & spoiler etc... cost is high enough as it is with my insurance excess, the extra cost to spray the whole thing - stripping/spraying, (things are so precisely accounted for these days that its very difficult to put anything other than what's necessary through the insurance claim).

Rule of thumb is keep the same brand on each axle, so you should be fine.
Not so sure about the asym's though, as the tread pattern is very different to the standard F1. Personally I would not mix brands unless I was desperate.
I was tempted to go for the asym's myself but ended up going for the standard 17" RE050 Bridgestones from Camskill and I can't complain.
Let me know if you have any other questions, I have researched the subject extensively.
Also where abouts in Meath are you? I am between Navan and Kells myself.
