A bit of preliminary/local research here before I go forum trawling...
Anyone give me some suggestions on brake disks with ~3-4 grooves only?
Or somewhere in Leinster that would cut these grooves into some OEM/spurious(Blueprint etc) disks? (I think I know of one place but looking for some further suggestions)
Those running uprated pads - what are you running, and are you running them in the rear also or standard pads in the rear?
I'm looking at either Mintex 1144s or Ferrodo DS2500.
Finally, what companies make braided lines for the car?

Wouldnt be mad on the idea of cutting groves into oem discs....

Pretty sure its Goodrich lines I have on the Civic actually.
Where did you(Tom?) buy the DBA4000s?
Its these ones right?

Looks like what I'm after - dont want a mamoth load of grooves/dots etc that I'll be burning through pads like crazy - but they look good.
Never heard of DBA though?
Was initially thinking Ferrodos on rear would be a waste but it is a near 50/50 weight split...

Feck,
How does it feel to at last have yourself an S? You missed a good weekend in IoM. What did you manage to get?

I've had a few issues with my cherished transfer so I still haven't got it. I put the deposit down 7 weeks ago and wait has killed me haha
The ferry is booked for tomorrow morning though and I'll be back with the S on Sunday night/Monday morning. It's a 2008 Berlina black GT. I actually haven't seen any 2008/09 models around this neck of the woods. Give us a wave if you see me about
Hopefully I'll get out for a meet or two as well, although it's all new to me as I've never had a decent enough car before now worth taking to meets haha
IOM would have been great. Maybe next year. Also a driving holiday to mainland Europe would be on my to-do list
As of the 1st August 2010--- The first Dublin based C&C in two months will take place at the Spar Store, in the Cherrywood Business Park, located in block D and easy to spot upon entering the Park.
There is an instore Insomnia Coffee counter, and the usual range of food. This is a first try for this venue, there is plenty of parking, and the area is very quiet on Sunday's. The only way to find out if it is viable is to give it a go.
Very close to the previous venue, take Exit 16 off the M50 and proceed throught the roundabout following the signs for the Park
As usual, 10.30 to 11am start, and no wait as the shop will be open.
