Default It's back!

Well, finally I have prised the S out of the hands of the bodyshop that had it (damn perfectionist!)

It really needed a respray, and as usual, things escalated. The usual rust spots over the rear wheels were sorted with new metal. At the same time, the faux vents now actually have something to do as I had fog lights fitted. And I replaced the old rear lights with facelift LED ones. The front bumper was smoothed, and the numberplate relocated. The front air intake was modified to have a grille fitted instead of the slats. Oh, and the good old EBay bmwchop low level rear spoiler was fitted too.

I'm really happy with the result. Andy (the guy who did the work) is a bit of a perfectionist. I mentioned that the rear bumper shut lines were a bit wonky, but that they all do that. He spent a few hours after that removing and refitting the bumper until the shut lines were almost perfect. I couldn't stop him polishing it!

Anyway, here are a few pics I took:

Lovely paint job - facelift headlights would make the front end perfect!

Yes. I bought them from the States. They come with the complete loom plus relay etc. I have wired them in using the relay, but I didn't really need to as I fitted LED's to them.

Got to stop spending! I have enough to do once the weather sorts itself out. I have a full set of suspension arms, POR15'd with polybushes in waiting to be fitted, plus a set of Meister R's. Oh, and refurbish the cam cover ... and fit the full height wind deflector ... and rear view mirror with clock ... and subwoofer ...

Same! Though I used normal bulbs
Do you have them on a separate switch? I wired them into the standard switch so both front and back come on.
