Default Its blown up :(

Well, after spending two weeks swapping the engine from my S2000 with my old one as I thought my old one had a healthier lower milage engine, the one I put in has blown / is knocking like a bag of spanners.

So annoyed! Especially since Dixon has been to the ring, abused it and back on the engine I took out!

I dont know what to do with the car now. I am loosing interest rapidly and I dont think I can be bothered to source another engine and swap them over again. Im thinking of breaking the car or selling it like it is.

Here is a video of how it sounds now. Its done approx 53k miles, its a 04 JDM engine. The oil level is good and always has been and the knocking started after a 8.5k rpm blast through a tunnel

What do you think I could break the car for?

Soooo annoyed!!

Nope, never even hit the limiter with this engine mate

I have had 4 S2000s before this one and never managed to blow one up, its not something I've done Im sure Was just time for it to go I guess.

Just really unsure what to do with the car now.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it comes to mind!

Sorry to hear this.

Depends entriely on how well you break it, speak to loftust or Floppy who have both recently done it.

Thanks Aquila.

This is something I am now going to live by in the future for sure! Cant believe, all that work just to have this happen!

Dixon however finds this highly amusing! Smug bugger

I'd be interested to know some more details about the car and what you'd consider taking for it as is.

(Not as a For Sale post, just out of interest )

Hey Gary - My build thread with pictures etc is here mate. Other than a blown engine, the car is absolutely lovely condition:
