Sad to see it go Simon. My old boss had a SLK350, and I'd have the S2000 over it anyday

So 3 yrs of advice and help, worth

AE - You may have seen my recent posts about the purchase of the SLK - my wife refused the drive the S anymore, she thought it was dangerous and we couldn't justify having 2 cars......and the S was at the end of the lease so I had to make some decision. ...After an extended test in the 350, I found it less tiring to drive on a long journey and the Mrs liked it.

I spent nearly a year test driving replacements.......new and old boxster (didn't like it - never have), Z4 (didn't like the interior), 350Z etc....etc.... and whilst I agree the SLK is a compromise on the driving thrill of the S2000, it suits my needs more and I quite like it.

Oh well the S has just gone but the SLK will be here this afternoon

So if you see an SLK 350 with an S2000 like number plate on it --- give us a .......I might even bring it to a Herts meet, if you let me

Yeah, since it's got an S2000 number plate, no-one will notice it's wrong: bring it along!

Good luck with it.
