you'll probably come out to it this eve to find you have 3 bars.

You'll jump in the car, and be down to 2 by the time you leave the car park.

At the end of the road, you'll have four because of the very gentle slope. You'll turn onto the main road and accelerate, which will put your light on and take you down to one bar. You'll drive incredibly gingerly to the petrol station, trying to avoid braking or accelerating. The final bar goes out with the petrol station in sight, you lift off in 5th and hope to cruise up to the pump.

You'll decide you don't want to be in that position again so will brim the tank. It'll take 9 litres to do this.

No bars will go out for 75 miles. You'll then overtake someone, and lose 4 bars.

Welcome to Honda.

Great Engines. Awful fuel gauges.

Yup. T-shirt.

Either plastic fuel tanks swell, liquids are compressible after all, or Honda fibs about the capacity.

Same here, i rang a coupe of S2k owners ot see how long it would go for, did a total of 35miles and it was still going...

I thought I would see how far I could get with the light on last week as I had a spare can of fuel in the boot. Did over 45 miles (driving normally i.e. with some vtec), got fed up and went to the shell garage and put 49.64 litres in. Just about running on fumes

I've done 15+ on no bars. That was with no vtec very smooth driving and no stopping for lights or traffic. Not the best petrol gage tbh.

10L left when the light comes on. 10L = 100km.. in theory! I have done about 60km from the light and filled up with around 46L.

Got my car down to 1 bar this morning so i decided to fill it. It held 41.3 litres.

So i had roughly 8.7 litres left in the tank or 1.91 gallons..Taking an average of 20 mpg there was near enough 40 miles left in it..
