It was exhilarating, I'm getting breathless thinking about it and it's one of those automotive experiences that we've all had and will never forget.
Would you have posted the speed on a public forum aldfort? I think not. I would dearly have liked to though, especially as I glanced at the speedo just before I hit the wet patch. The whole thing was certainly not a Fried Green Tomatoes situation but my age and experience stood me in good stead. I'm probably old enough to be the girl's mother - but it's difficult to judge the age of women like that. She looked effortless in her demeanour and composure, not rough and ready like me.
(I'm not very good at picking up people's drifts and am now wondering whether aldfort is actually congratulating me for not mentioning my speed??)
