Default Jack's S2000

Hello and welcome to my S2000 journey.

I'm Jack, I'm 25, I'm from Ipswich, I work as an engineer and have always messed around with my own cars.

My old Accord Type R was developed over 5 years from a completely standard car and turned into a very capable fast road/track car.

Track day at Snetterton in 2017. Fastest lap was 2:21 on the 300 circuit.

I loved that car but fancied a change. I'd done what I wanted with it and felt I wanted something a bit special. So I set about looking for my perfect S2000.

I didnt have to search for long before I found her last September ...
She was located in derby but it seemed totally worth the drive with full service history, endless receipts, 59k and an owner that promised she wanted for nothing!

So me and my dad jumped in the car and went to view the S2000.

While viewing

Here she is back home.

So happy with my purchase and couldn't wait to get stuck into driving, having fun and spending time with it!
Credit to the previous owner 'Tozerman' for looking after this old girl. Registered in Sept 1999 and she really is more or less in new condition!

More to follow!

I love the private plate that came with the car but I wanted to change it up a bit.

Okay I may get some flack for this but hey the number plate looks very cool right!?

I removed the bumper to remove the number plate holder. Slightly trimmed number plate surround and refitted with fresh smaller number plate!!

Buddyclub nylon gear knob fitted from my old Accord. Feels much better in your hand and compliments the gearbox!

Looks very clean Is this going to be a track day car like the accord? Look forward to the updates.

Default November 23rd 2018 trackday

So everyone thought I was mad for wanting to do a trackday so soon considering the car is so clean...
However I thought it would be rude not to and was just itching to get out and test her out fully!

I checked her over, filled her up and headed for a full day at Snetterton on my own.
No distractions just me and the car.

I met a friend on the day...

Its needless to say I had an absolute blast and shes quick.

The purpose of the day was to just get it out on track and break the ice but also to learn what a standard S2000 can do and where I feel it might need slight modification for any future days or Ring' trips.
I learnt that the Bridgestone Re002 are good, fun but limited. I dislike the seating position and felt a bit disconnected so maybe a bucket seat would feel better just like I had in my Accord.

But above all what a day and what a car.
The fastest lap was about 2:25/6 which I was happy with considering it was my first time out in it, it was cold and patchy damp.

Looks absolutely stunning on track.
Assume there was no worry with oil starvation or anything like that?

The car is so clean and mint, credit to you for enjoying it on track regardless.
I would be so paranoid on track with a pride and joy car that clean. lol.

I would be keeping her stock - haha, but I bet your itching to modify her.
Look forward to seeing what plans you have.

Very clean looking car and nice color as well
I had one of those Buddy club knobs for a while before but then I tried a heavy steel one and it felt much better, just a tip.
