Default J's Racing Carbon Cooling Plate

I've picked this up over the weekend

I installed the item but the bonnet does not close. I have an OEM bonnet.

Has anyone fitted this successfully under an OEM bonnet?

it's designed to fit under the J's racing bonnet, and around a J's intake kit - the raised section next to where the snorkel or airbox entrance sits fits into a bonnet bulge, not present on the standard.

J's bonnet with raised area for clearance here:

So no, without modification or a j's bonnet, it won't close.

I had no issues with J's Racing cooling plate and OEM bonnet on my previous S2000.

Very little difference between th cooling plate you have and many others out there that will fit with the standard bonnet.

Did you fit it over, under or without the metal reinforcer at the front? what did you do with the rubber?

what part of the plate is touching the bonnet.

and a picture of mine...

[
this bit is stopping the bonnet from closing

I have not installed the metal plate and retained the rubber seal which fits around the plate
