Another thing ... the dust shields had to be removed . Can anyone see a issue with this at all ? Should i put some heat reflective tape over the rubber joints on the suspension ?

No issues ditching the dust shields, I got rid of mine a few years ago (front and back), I have protected the ball joint rubbers though

Found a couple of pic's that may give you an idea. very straight forward, cut the bandage to length, tape the ends with ali tape to stop it from fraying, fit and tie on, job done

New wheels on

For a cheap set of wheels I'm pleased with them . Put the standard size tyres to see how much room I have . Looks like I'll be able to run 225/255 set up .

edit -

forgot I weighed the standards and the rota's .

Standard front -8.3kg rear - 9.5kg

rotas front 8.4kg rear 8.5kg

obviously weighed with out tyres .

Looks good

The heat shield actually does fit with those callipers but you need to do some cutting to it.

Furthermore double check the pad overhang on the discs as I know there was an issue with the adapter on these.

pad overhang? As in the pads overhanging the edge of the outer part of the disc?
