Exclamation the joy of the s2000.

well what a stunning, warm weekend.

Had to work in Milton Kenes this weekend so had a blast up from Bath on both Sat and Sun.

Bath->m4->swindon->oxford->bidington->Mk.
(yes i know all the locations of the cameras on the a-420 hopefully )

Honestly.. i got a chance to actually really push the car.. It grips so so well, some slight understeer on a few roundabouts and had loads of fun overtaking my way thru the traffic... brings a smile to my face.

Got stuck for about 20 miles with a boy'd up civic that kept attempting to overtake me.. and a honda accord estate, which actually is quite quick.. an example of the stupid civic after being left for dead numerous times when it goes A-road to dual carriageway was to overtake me (me doing about 85/90 empty dual carrageway) doing like 120.. idiot.. the car was all over the road.. i slowed down to 80..

But this car loves the A-Roads, up and down thru the gears popping pass 2/3 cars on a straight.. and prob gaining about and extra ton in weight due to all the dead flys on the windscreen..

saw 3 s2ki.. one black 04.. ignored me.. a grey one.. ignored me.. and a yellow one in MK with carbon bonnet and boot+ large spoiler and alloys..

made working at the weekend worth the while.. i love this car.. so well balanced.. and rear grip so well when on hot tarmac and really warmed up.. 430 miles smiling..

anyone else have fun in the sun..

Yeh- great weekend for it. I was out both days taking advantage and scrubbing in my new S-02's (controversially, I don't think they grip as well as my old S-03's - they certainly make the car drift a lot more and altough it seems more "balanced" I actually prefered it a little bit more "pointy".)

I spent today on the A719 heading down towards Turnberry. Fantastic piece of road where the S feels completely at home. The beautiful views of Culzean Bay, and Ailsa Craig just capped it off.

later in the afternoon we defied gravity at Electric Brae. Rolling up a hill, is the wierdest feeling.

Like you say, overtaking 2 or 3 cars at once on swoopy bends (because on this road you can see a fair bit ahead) is an awesome feeling.

And the look of the poor kids stuffed into the back of their parents MPV's as the VTEC screams on the way past is a picture.

Did I mention that I effing love my car?
