has anybody changed these with non Honda parts?

Question

Dealer wants 300 quid for 1, I asked if you need to replace them both and he said no, surely its not safe to run different age on each side?

I'm guessing its just the dampers you require which for my car is 51605-S2A-A05 which cost $143.66 + $56.00 shipping

Replace them in pairs.

If upgrading (eg Ohlins), replace all four.

I said eventually these damper units on older cars would want replacing!

Makes my "For sale" set seem worth while getting now.

They are 300 for the front and 270 for the rears fitted. Mine is a JDM so probably no go with yours anyway.

I bet thats just for the dampers isnt it?

The ones I am selling have the springs and top mounts in at that and theres no difference to the JDM cars by the way.

As said earlier, you should allways fit a pair of dampers just like you would do with the springs and I dare say if you've got one thats leaking now it wont be long before the others start to give bother in one way or another(sorry)

You know where they are if there of any interest anyway.
