As mentioned by DocDunc

http://www.toys4cars.co.uk/index.php?main_...oducts_id=49524

The main problem is that these are generally only to be found in the US, most uk K&N dealers don't stock them and probably don't list them on their we sites.

If you call round a few of them they will probably give you a price and delivery time.

Docs price is pretty good IMHO. Ebay Us has them at $290+ plus shipping and tax will work out at more than the price he found.

I had mine from autocom or auocar can't remember now they were a dealer in the states and with taxes duty delivery etc etc I paid $320 which back 6months ago was about 155 pounds!!
The best price I could get from a uk SUPPLIER was 240 so do the hard work yourself and save money

Installation instructions say you need a 5/8s od drill bit to bore hole for temp sensor, what does this translate to in "shopping for drill bits at b&q" speak?!

If you look at the above picture where the filter piping goes into the heat shield...there is a gap....I cut the pipe down slightly so that the filter makes a seal with the side of the heatshield

I am puzzled by the air sensor and which year of cars have it

My 04 certainly did not when I installed my Gen 2. Or rather there were only X number of hoses in to the OEM induction pipe and the same number when I plumbed in the K&N.

Was it an 05 or some other later year change?

By my reckoning that works out at 16mm.

That's something else I will need to buy to be able to install the K+N (my drill bits go up to 12mm)

Just got delivery of the kit from Toys 4 Cars.

Looks and feels to be good quality.

Just plucking up courage to fit it now

Good service , and the cheapest I could find from the UK -but as others say it can be done cheaper if you import yourself.

I used one of those stepped cone shaped drill bits. that soon able to open up a large enough hole for the ruber grommet.

Read the instruction and compare them with your car
Work out if you need any special tools
Take it steady
label the thin rubber airlines before you start
follow the step by step instructions

YEah, make sure you need to drill a hole before you actually do. My 05 UK spec did not require the air sensor, although I came quite close to drilling a hole for it (drill in hand!)
