Default K&N replacement filter

I was thinking will it make much differences? I was thinkng of getting an after Market intake, but it seems that Honda has already done a good job. Am planning to get an mugen wing, does it have any noticable differances?

A Mugen wing is a very special piece.
I want a photo if you fit it

I've fitted a K&N typhoon Short Ram. There is a slightly better throttle responce, and the fuel consumption is a bit less (well it is now I've stopped VTECing all the time) but the biggest difference is the noise. It's just outstanding, especially when you hit VTEC. I smile every time

IMHO virtually no difference, the stock filter is very good.

Oxhouser opened one up and it seems slightly more restrictive at the mouth.

I had the K&N replacement filter + air duct, good cheap combination that did offer a very slight difference for the better.

Putting a K&N filter into the stock box is not going to make much if any difference. Changing the intake will make it sound different but not make much if any performance difference.

I had the K&N FIPK Gen II and it was great. Scares people and gets lots of disaproving looks from the footpath.

Another factor you might all be missing?

The K&N is reusable, you clean it out, reapply the dirt retention additive and put it back in.

The standard one ideally needs replacing once a year?

Could save you some money in the long run.

However, mine came with the car and I doubt I would have bought one new.

I mentioned the cost issue on a similar thread must be about 6 month's ago and was shot, saying you replace the oem every 2-3 years, with an oem one costing £20-25 and a k&n £50

Draw your own conclusion

With a snorkle its gets shit up alot quicker.
