I'm no expert but that last pic don't look good Dave.

Kathryn should definitely get her neck checked.

Aye - sorry to hear about the bad luck

Worth getting checked out though as that's a fair impact when the chassis deforms

Good luck

My God Dave, that's knackered! Hope Kathryn's OK - I wouldn't be surprised if she finds herself in a lot of pain after that.

If the boot floor is that badly damaged, it's going to be a huge repair. My Dad just looked at the photos and said it's a really big job. It can often lead to cars being written off if they aren't so new.

He also said to check the rear quaters and roof for any kinks, as well as the door shuts. There might be more damage than is initially obvious.

I can't imagine how gutted you both must feel. After just 3 weeks, I'd want a new car.

Hope you manage to get it sorted OK.

Sounds like the cars jinxed Dave.
Tell Kath to get up to the hospital, you shouldn't mess about with these things.

Do Honda still do the 'if your car has an accident in the first 3 months you can have a brand new one' offer ??

Or does that have to be above a certain amount of money ??

Worth checking it out ??
I think certain insurance companies say this aswell if an accident happens within 4 weeks of a brand new car, but i may be wrong

Dave - I agree with what everyone has already said. I really do think Kathryn should get herself checked over. P1+ had someone drive into her car some years ago now, and she still suffers with pains in her neck / shoulders. It will no doubt take a little time to sort out insurance etc, but don't accept any "full & final" settlement until you are aware of any potential longer term problems. - I really really hope that Kathryn is OK.
Car is of secodary importance, but I can imagine how you must be feeling and hope this all gets sorted with minimal hassle.

Bad news Dave Make sure Kathryn gets checked out though. I have had a look at the car and the rear 1/4 panels seem OK. The bumper has hit the "towing eye" which is fastened to the boot floor resulting in it being pushed up. The backbox has hit the rear anti roll bar and snapped the balljoint off though

Hiya mate,

Have a look at your policy. A lot of insurers will replace with new if the repair comes to more than 25 or 30% of the value. It is valid for the first 12 months normally. You just need to make sure the repair bill is more than about

Oops, just checked my own policy and the clause is 60% of list price but they are all different.

Noony.
