Default Keep it safe.

My neighbours reported seeing a car parked over the road from my house and the bloke in the drivers seat did nothing but check out my car.

They took details of car and his description as it was just out of the norm for a very quiet road.
I contacted the police and the plates on his car don't match the police think that is stolen to .

Car is now moved to a safer location until i decide what to do .

Remember to keep your keys out of sight or better locked in a safe .

Why can't we have anything nice without some low life scum wanting it

Very good of your neighbours.

I keep having dreams about mine getting stolen. Garage is getting cleared out so that she can permanently live in there when I'm not driving her.

Do you have a drive? My friends put mole posts on theirs when their Evo and Scooby got stolen.

They maybe taking details to clone it?

If I had been your neighbours I would have gone out to say hello to the driver of that car on the pretence to ask if they were lost and needed direction. Criminals never like to know that you have looked them in the face and it gives the signal: " there are people keeping an eye on you here so move on".

Cj good point i never thought of a post , will look into it . My drive is about four car lengths long with the s at the top and my works beater behind it .

Sylvie that did happen as my neighours dog got out and ran upto the car they had to get him in so he knows he was spotted , which the police said is a good thing.

They park their cars right up to the garage and the post are tight to the bumpers so there is no chance of even trying to do a 100 point turn

They have also put on their steering locks 'don't forget posts' as they nearly reversed into them a couple of times!

Arco do them and they are really easy to fit.

They may move to another target as this is too much trouble.

Or they might decide they really want it and enter your house...

I tend to leave the keys in full view if myself / the doris are home.

Although the Evo has a very amusing anti theft device on it

Think the CCTV in the car park for my flats acts as a pretty good deterrent.

Interestingly, the only time the caretaker can recall a car being broken into was when it was parked in a garage, out of view of the CCTV, of course.

I've been looking for better security for ages - but fairly convinced steering locks are utterly useless at the pace the thatcham guys remove them in demo videos.

Been after a covert gps-based monitoring tool like 'trackerm8' i believe, to tell u what speed the car's doing, say, if it's in service - do you think i can find the details anywhere though?
