Default Key & Secrity Fob

I only have 1key & security fob for my 2002 model.
I'm in Scotland UK, apparently I can only get a spare key & fob from a Honda dHonda.Following that up I've been quoted £500.00!
Does anyone have similar experience in this ?

You ought to be able to do it for much less than that by ordering the parts on eBay. See this thread for security fob. And this thread for the key.

About the standard cost for a remote and key from a main dealer, including coding, I remember keyless entry/starting fobs were dearer, I usually took customers details and sent them away to search again, unfortunately not applicable in your case, some key cutting specialist should be able to help.

Never needed a key but fobs are easy

I believe your key has a chip in it with a sensor in the steering column
