Default Knock sensor

Had new starter motor fitted last week and everything was great car drove fine but yesterday cel light and pulled a p0325 code - knock sensor doh! Question is could it be loose or just faulty sensor and why has it took days to come up as a cel?

Ps car running like shit too revs bottoming out etc

Jiff,

It seems odd that this has popped up after you have has work done. Sometimes codes can take a while, but if it's buggered it will pop up instantly. Check the connector hasn't come loose.

That sensor lives on the inlet manifold side of the block, about half way down.

I susepct it could have been nocked. And it will make the car drive badly.

They often get damaged during a clutch change.

The knock sensor is on the left hand side of the block (not cylinder head), at the front, just above the TCT...check the wiring before thinking about replacing it.

It's right near the starter motor as well. Too coincidental with work being carried out in that area and a fault developing. If it's not a simple fix like cleaning the connector, or putting it on properly, take it back to the garage where the work was done.

I'll check if loose got spare time tmr but want to sort it asap miss the vtec!!! Thanks for input mate
