Knocking after alignment

Default Knocking after alignment

I got my alignment done yesterday at TDI North in Warrington, cost £200 as i think it was seized, now when i brake heavily there is a very loud clunking noise from the front sounds like hitting a metal post with a metal pole as hard as you can. I can also feel it through the pedals when it does it.

Im guessing its a bush thats broke and just wondering which one its most likely to be?

Also if i get the bushes done i will need another alignment wont I? Which means having the alignment done yesterday was completley pointless

On the basis that the last thing that's changed is probably the cause of the new problem, sounds like TDI haven't tightened the adjusters up properly.

They might have failed to tighten something, 'forced' a seized adjuster.

Or even put the wheel nut lock back in the wrong place - sometimes it's simple.

It's more than likely a result of something they did/failed to do.

FWIW, the drop links should be slackened when aligning the car.
