My new car is now at home.

We got back about 11pm last night after driving for about 8 hours. Car was superb. Comfortable for 400 miles of roof down motoring. Nimble in the corners and quick enough to be noticed at only 5.5krpm.

Problem 1:
Some other vehicles behaved strangely on the motorway. We overtook them then they speeded up, overtook us and then slowed down again so we had to pass them for a third time. The occupants seemed to have round eyes and slack jaws.

Problem 2:
I'm only insured to do 10000 miles a year.

Problem 3:
She's too big to hug.

I'll take some more pictures when I've got the zymol on.

Congratulations on the new car!

err. how can I say this.
I like the light blue, but think it might be a bit girly. I can't decide what colour I want, the Sliver's excellent, but so is the dark and light blue(s).
I just don't know. Did you see the light blue in the flesh before you decided.

That's the thing about the S, I've only ever seen sliver on the road. Good for owners , not good for potential customers because I just can't decide

Nurburgring Blue is the best colour. No question. We only saw a swatch and a couple of photos before we ordered. Come and see it in Leicester if you don't believe me. Or we're likely to be in Nottingham soon , perhaps we could meet there. (Only another 200 miles to VTEC).

Thanks, Bharat I've sent you some PM as well.

Does anybody know why my picture won't show?

Hi Ade,

Congratulations!! Looking forward to seeing more photos of your babe.

By the way, does 02 model have electric heated wing mirrors? The reason I ask because every time I switch the rear window demist button. I hear a click sound from the front console near the wing mirrors. I wonder is just me or it happen to all s2ks.

Eric.

I have no idea whatsoever! I haven't driven it with the top up yet and am not too sure where the demist button is.

I'll let you know if I find out.

The 02 model is billed as having electrically heated mirrors.

Not entirely sure how it's activated, but on my old Golf, it came on automatically when the rear demist was switched on.

BTW, Ade. Congratulations on your purchase. Wise choice!
