Default AT LAST.....

Took collection of my long awaited GT today........ HOLY S**T, WHAT A CAR!, i find myself doing REALLY pointless journeys just to drive the damm thing. Bit disappointed with the dealer (Aylesbury Honda) as they "lost" my roof stand and cover now got to wait 5 days for them to order another for me so i am keeping the roof on as i have nowhere to put the thing. One thing i have noticed is that at about 65mph ish there is a whooshing noise coming from the far right hand side bottom corner of the window when the hard top is on? anyone else noticed this? is it normal? should i take it back? also lots of sticky stuff in certain places where the plastic which was protecting the car when it was delivered was pulled off that the cleaner missed (not good) but they did say when i get a bit bored he said come back and they will valet it again and polish it for me so not so bad eh!
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Nice one.

Re the noise, is it coming from the window on the hard top or the windscreen on one of the side windows ??

Sounds strange though ??

Whooshing noise not normal, get them to sort it. If the cleaner missed getting all the plastic off, I certainly wouldn't let them clean it, do it yourself mate, that way you know its been done properly, but most of all enjoy the car !!!

wooshing noise sounds like wind noise because the HT is not seated properly. I've heard it on a few cars I test drove in the last couple of weeks

Pointless journeys is mandatory

Seems like the pointless journey is common place... When i first started looking at the posts on this site regarding the "pointless journey" i honestly thought "yeah yeah" okay its a nice car and all but who would really drive sooo far out of there way just to do something they could do locally...... ME, I am TOTALLY agog with this machine and its not run in yet so i haven't even had the enjoyment of the . Anyway i am going out for some beer now and i know a good offie about 35 miles from here that has a deal on Stella... HE HE

Bought mine secondhand from Aylesbury Honda (before I came back north). Found them okay (dealt with David Freedman), and yes, I got a stand and cover with my hardtop

I also get some wind noise with the hardtop, and whilst I will use it in the depths of winter, it will spend most of its time on the stand, so not really too fussed. Reckon it must be a trait with Aylesbury supplied hardtops ...

GEt a bit of wind noise with mine, but if you undo all the catches and then do 'em up again it stops.

I was doing 60 mile round trips just for petrol when I got mine!

Enjoy and get some piccies up.
