Has your roof ever been removed or replaced & do you get excess condensation on the inside of your windscreen?

If so, your roof's probably leaking . I had the same problem when my roof was changed under warranty. Water was coming in just behind the driver's side boot hinge where it pooled, ran down towards the rear lights then ran down into the well. I think it was the roof gutter (plastic bit that runs along where the roof meets the car on the outside) that hadn't been fitted correctly. I discovered it by running a hose over the roof and looking in the boot. Honda refitted it and the problem went away.

Another cause could be water coming in through the air vent, check the following thread...

...I just sealed mine inside the boot with plumbers mait just in case.

Once you sort it out, keep your eye out for rust coming through where the water's been sat.

I sealed the air vent and it didn't solve the problem unfortunately.

I currently have no lining in my boot. It doesn't appear to leak even when it is tipping down. Only when I drive somewhere. Very odd.

Was the water in the boot soapy, ie. the water from washing your car, or was it clear, ie. rain water?

When you take out the bottom piece of lining check the underside to see if the upper parts are wet too or just the well part. This could help indicate where the water's coming from. Mine was wet where it was pooling behind the lights so this helped to narrow it down.

Another tip...if you line the boot with old newspaper it will make the leak easier to spot.

It does seem odd that some cars leak and others don't. I would take the rear bumper off and put some silicone sealant around that air vent. It didn't help Vixen, but it might help you. It's been identified as cause of leaks, so I wouldn't ignore.
