Default Leaving the S Garaged for 4 months

Right as per title I'm Out the country for 4 months, so the S will be sitting in the garage.

I'm going to have it serviced before I go (3 months early). Unfortuanatly I do not have power in the garage so no battery conditioner can be used. So should I disconect the battery or not?

Anything else I should do?

- Park in a garage
- Leave handbrake OFF
- Get car on axle stand
- Disconnect battery
- Make sure you are low on petrol in the tank (some say petrol do goes off if not used)
- Car cover
- Pump the tyres to a higher psi (maybe 35psi?)

Up on axle stands, handbrake off.

Battery up to you - a trade off between the alarm being available vs the battery dying.

Or... Get a trusted oppo to "exercise" it for you once a fortnight (but still no handbrake).

I was looking for a tyre cradle or similar as the garage is a bit tight to get in an the put the car on stands inside.

I use an OptiMate charger (Clicky) rather than disconnecting the battery. It cycles the battery to mimic normal usage, so is actually better for the battery than disconnecting it; and allows the alarm to still be used.

Which would be great if the OP had power to his garage!

I have however, seen a solar powered battery condition... probably just a crappy gimmick though tbh.

I was told the opposite.

Fill it to the brim. Stops moisture/condensation forming in the fuel tank.
