BTW it most likely DOES make it go faster,
Brighter Color = More attention
More attention = Happier sponsors

More development = FASTER

For some reason, alloys seem to be quoted in lbs. Bit like Guineas, I suppose.

Trouble is, like all things S2000, it's not easy to find a better alternative.
The Mugen MF10s are the only alloy I know which has the correct offset, are light weight and elegant. They were extortionately expensive outside of Japan and are apparently out of pruduction.
One would have thought another wheel manufacturer would see a market and mill down their bosses accordingly.

The wheels i have, a couple of the volks and a few others are the correct offsets, and are made specially for the S2000.
The 04 wheels are a lower offset than the my00 wheels aswell.
But i agree the Mugens are the best compromise.

I do however like the look of those wheels in Lou's car.
Whats your problem? Who died and put you in charge of style?
It's not down to you to tell me what I should and shouldn't like, the car is what it is. The bright coloured riced up look is for some and not for others.
If that makes me one of the "pipe and slippers" brigade then fair enough. If you are getting pissed off because I have an opinion then I suggest you get a new hobby because this one is going to give you an aneurysm.

As I said in the first post my bitch at users that constantly knock 'mods', was really not aim at you but your post was the catalyst for my little rant.
What was aimed at yourself was your seeming misunderstanding at the 'point' of the J's RACE car.
If it was a Road car i would tend to agree that it was over the top and 'riced' but a race car is built to go fast and get attention.
You still may not like the look of it which is fine, but if you were the race team that ran it and that design/look got you 2 second off a lap and another 50k a year in sponsership, I suspect you would love it.
