I used to use one about 10 years ago, but moderns turbos don't need one. Just drive nicely for a few mins before you end your journey.

Can't help with the specific query though!

Or leave it running for a minute before you switch the car off.

I do this with a modern turbo diesel yaris, to stop the oil carbonising/hardening the seals but ONLY when i have been driving on a motorway for long periods of time and booting the car.

Hi, mate has just installed a turbo kit to his accord and has a turbo timer, he has the same problem, if he has the engine running a cool down using the timer he can't lock the doors cause it engages the immobiliser, although it does mean he can get out of the motor and go as far away as the remote locking will allow.

sounds like its a bit pointless to me in that case. Easier to just drive gently for the final few miles of the journey or just leave it running for a min or so on arrival.

My mate had a turbo timer on his 200SX but he seemed to use it as more of a gimmick than anything else!
