Default Longlife custom exhausts?

As the title says really. Theres a company called Long life exhausts who makes custom exhaust systems. There is one here in plymouth and i believe 2 or 3 more outlets across the country. just wondering if anyone has had a system made for their S and if so what they think of it??

I too would like to know this as I am in the Market for an aftermarket exhaust system but not keen on paying the money for the jdm stuff.
A mate of mine who owns a Honda tuning garage said he could get me one made up to my specifications.
But am I going to see the same performance gains as I would from one of the jdm systems available?
If so then I'm goin to get one made to look like the Js/Toda with the dolphin tails.

It's unlikely they will be any good in terms of power and drone. If they were, then they would command a higher price.

Can understand about the power but surely you could get it made to your specs to eliminate the drone, silencers etc?

...which will probably push up the price to somewhere near what a decent secondhand exhaust would cost.

Yeah I don't mind paying the amount that a second hand system would cost, but I have been a member on here for about 6 months and on eBay and have seen nothing that I like or want.

Ive had an exhaust off them for my 220 gsi turbo a few years ago, it was so poorly made and thought out i took it off after 4 days and made my own. Imagine using 1" tubing in some sections on a car that standard uses 2.5" tubing. The welds looked pish too. I would not recomend an undeveloped exhaust for the S and especially not from this company.

Thanks for your input Martin,
But that was a few years ago, so maybe they are more up to scratch now, and have a good reputation now don't they?
Tbh I would really love to get a Toda manifold and exhaust but a little out of my price range hence why I was looking into custom systems

I have a similar type exhaust trader nearby. An exhaust for my noble was a stupid ammount of money. The trader near me spent many hours mocking bends and silencers. To cut a long story short he eliminated parts of the original that was strangling flow and made an exhaust that was a piece of art and less than half the price of the rousch exhaust. He also made the exhaust for my tommi mak and made better power and less noise than the reputable jap thing that was on when i bought the car and yet again half the price. My trade is fabrication and his work was far better than most .The good thing about these places imo is if you dont like the noise or look it is easy to change things around.Buy a aftermarket exhaust and you dont like it, tough

Iv had longlife exhaust systems on all of my cars apart from the s. I think there's loads all over the country.

When I had one put on my golf they didn't do such a good job with the welding so I took it to another longlife garage and they gave me a hole new exhaust system and done a good job on it. Also they make them sound how you want and if your not happy they will change it. My mate had one fitted to his zetec s and wasn't happy with the sound so they changed the back box again for him.
They also come with a lifetime Guarantee.
