Default Looking...

Hi All

After dinging my Lotus Elise and causing some chassis damage it is being written off

My wife, who I love dearly, has suggested that I 'may wish to not purchase another elise'. So, liking my anatomy the way is currently stands, I came up with a list.

I have been looking at various types and adverts and there are a few currently that are on my purchase list, these are around the '02 / '03 mark and <50k on the clock.

What I'm after is someone who can check out an S2K around the Reigate area, and who knows what to expect and look for.

So. Any recommendations or should I just go with the standard AA/RAC package?

Thanks in advance

Stu

Hi Stu,

I'm sure you will get someone local from here to help you look at the car for a few beers! There are quite a few clued up people dotted around.

The AA / RAC are pretty good (depending who you get) but will unlikely be familiar with S2000 specific issues, such as bushes etc.

Would be worht doing if nobody from here can assist though.

I'm not a million miles away but and have seen a few and spent a while under mine. however I've only been an owner for 6 months, there are some others on hear that have a much longer history.

Have a look in the meets section on here, the Surrey group meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. So the next meeting is in a week and a half, and there should be a load of helpful types there.

Or buy a one with a known history and known owner from the for sale sites here.

thanks for the replies.

Went to test drive one locally at a dealer today, and it was pretty good. The VTEC is odd as its my first driver ever in one.

I'm looking around the '02/'03 mark, GT would be nice (for the missus) but must have the stand. I'll post on the for sale/wanted.

EDIT : It would appear that I can't post on the for sale/wanted forum!

You need to be a member to post. Cost isn't that high.

But you can send a PM to anyone selling one.
I'll drop you a PM now...
