Looking to Buy first S2K
Good morning All,
Having always been a Honda enthusiast and currently own a Honda civic VTi-S which I plan to track. Now with the need for a new exciting daily, I have decided to go for S2K.
I like the facelift models (04+) and ideally looking at around 05 or 55 GT spec with hard top for the dreary winters.
I will be going to look at an 05 GT this weekend and would like to know what are the key points to look out for and check to ensure the car is in a good mechanical condition.
Thanks for any information.

Hi and welcome!
The usual things to look for when viewing any car still apply, but the additional stuff would be uneven true wear, a lumpy / inconsistent idle, any unusual knocking / ticking coming from the engine (the f20c can be noisy as it is!)
The other big thing is the adjustable geometry. This can seize solid, costing over £1k to fix. Unfortunately, looking under the car won't help you here - try and get printouts or receipts saying that the geo has been checked.
Make sure you don't pay over the odds too. A MY05 shouldn't cost you more than £8.5k now.
Others will be along with more info but in the meantime, take a look at the FAQ.

Thanks for the information. I will be sure to check, maybe even take it to an alignment centre to just check the parts are not seized on.
Thanks for the heads up on the price. Car is up for £10K but was planning on making a lower offer as £10K seems on the high end.
Has 49K on the clock and comes with honda fitted front lip and rear wing.
Hopefully all goes well and will have the car early next week.
