Default Looking at a used S2000

Hi Guys

great site, im looking to make the jump into s2000. But just wondering if they have all been thrashed as some of the cheaper ones you see seemed to be owned by younger kids with baseball caps !
Got a few that i have lined up to look at does anyone know what year the s2000 road tax hikes up loads by?

also do the bodykits reduce re-sale value? found this one which looks good but it does have a honda kit on it

they are using "bodykit" in the wrong way. it just has a front lip and a trunk spoiler which doesn't affect the value very much. otherwise it looks pretty stock which is nice.

Tax increase = April 2006

OEM bodykits won't affect resale value but might limit resale audience - same could be said for some after market kits (some of which are very expensive).

You'll find, due to insurance, most s2000s aren't owned by kids with baseball caps.

Most will have been driven hard (it was designed to be) but as long as its been looked after (FSH, warm before being driven hard) you shouldn't have a problem.

Lots of people want that front lip and either can't find one or don't want to pay an extorionate amount of money from Honda for it.

In my opinion the front lip and boot spoiler makes the car more desirable for most people however I can see there are no pictures of the inside and it has the awful red plastics meaning the dash is red, the lot

like floppy has mentioned i believe a lip kit will add a small bit of value as most people want something a bit extra from stock

My car for sale here https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/960...0-silverstone/ slightly higher mileage (a few years older) and the very lowest tax bracket.

You would also have nearly £3K left in your back pocket.

It looks to me like the Front bumper is a slightly different colour to the rest of the car in the last 2 photos, i know there were a few different paint codes on the Silverstone’s. It may have had a knock or maybe someone has re-sprayed it to remove stone chips. Either way it does look a shade darker.
