Default Lowering & Geometry issues

Hi all,
I'm cosidering Eibach lowering springs (20mm Fr, 30mm Rr - I think)
Are there any issues with geomety settings when fitted?
I've a '52 with OEM 17's on.

Any pointers as to the cheapest supplier ?

Thanks in advance

Dave

IIRC it should be ok..

30mm on the rear could lead to some camber issues?

Its worth looking at the Gaz group buy for coilovers, they will only be another £250 more than just springs, Springs are silly price for what they are!

You may want to invest in a drive shaft spacer kit if lowering that much at the rear.

I have eibach pro kit on mine TGM advised geometry adjustment was not needed. I would agree with them the car drives great with them on, wish they were a bit lower at the front though!

How come everyone thinks when you lower an S you need drive shaft spacers? The bearings slide in and out of the outer cv joint cup so it doesn't matter. The only issue you may have is vibration but this is caused by the cup wearing in a certain position that will have worn before lowering and then once lowered it runs in the worn part. When I lowered mine I had this issue so I swapped the cups around and had no problem for 20thousand miles.

I've read lots and lots of threads all over S2Ki about this issue of needing spacers. And all points to one conclusion. If the car is being lowered by 30mm, you won't need them. If you are going really low then maybe you will. But from what I gather, you can pretty much swap the drive shaft from side to side, so if there's any vibration issues when it's lowered, swap them round. You need to have a good read, so lots of searches will enlighten you.

Thanks for all the comments.
Bit more reading required I think.
I know people tend to rate Eibach as one of the quality springs - what's
the alternatives for about the same drop (don't want to go any lower!)

Cheers

If you decide to go down the route of Eibach, good luck finding some. I paid for some from Larkspeed over 3 months ago and they never turned up. Not because of Larkspeed, but because Eibach hadn't made any more yet. A couple of other comanies also said they couldn't get any from Eibach. I ended up having a full refund. Now I'm just awaiting the delivery of some nice shiny new coilovers from MeisterR from the GB.
