lowering question

Default lowering question

hi i've purchased a set of lowering springs off a mate and he was telling me i need drive shaft spacers,i hadn't got a clue what he was on about so i thought i'd ask the people that know, you guys on here thanks andy

oh if it helps i'm only lowering the car by 30mm

You don't need spacers mate. Unless you get vibration from your inboard cv joints. If you do then fit them and it should go. Read up on adjustable toe arms and steering rack spacers. You definately will need your geometry resetting if you do fit your springs

FWIW its not the inboard CV joints that play up, but the roller bearings and the splined 'buckets' as some call them.
These are the 3" or so diameter 'solid' looking metal tubes with a ring of bolts around the face, near the differential.
They are inboard of the inner CV boots.

Go without spacers, you most likely wont need them.
