Just a quick note on ground clearance:

Last week I managed to avoid having a chunk of concrete strike anything more critical than the catalytic converter heat shield and rear suspension cross brace. No way to avoid it. Skillfully (OK, pure luck) threaded it just inside the right front wheel missing the suspension and all other parts than above. Did strike the frame in front of the exhaust header making a cosmetic dent.

Impact broke the tabs off the cat and left them rattling inside the (now removed) heat shield.

My car is stock height. I get nauseous contemplating the damage to a lowered car. Even an inch lower!

Not heard of those but Eibachs seem to be quite a forum favourite. (drop appx 25mm front and 30mm rear)

Yeh I've looked at the tein and skunk2 ones, I was looking the fk ones because they are not very expensive and give a fairly good drop but no one seems to use them and I don't want to ruin the handling

Interstate highway bridge. Traffic. Retaining wall on the right, traffic on the left. Screwed!

Have no idea where the "stone" came from. Grew from apple to grapefruit size in the micro seconds I had to avoid it. Didn't want to put it under the engine nor under a wheel and luckily made the correct choice. Any thing bigger ...
